Finally!! Anna’s movie with Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bryce Dallas Howard – previously known as “I’m With Cancer”, “Live With It”, “Get Well Soon” and who knows how many other titles – finally has an official title and release date!! It is now offically “50/50″ and will be released on September 30, 2011. Can’t freakin’ wait!

Summit to Release Cancer Comedy ‘50/50′ This September

The long talked about Seth Rogen-starred “cancer comedy”, previously called I’m With Cancer, finally has a title and a release date. Summit plans to release 50/50 on September 30th of this year.

This is fantastic news given the caliber of talent of the film’s cast which includes Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, Angelica Huston and Phillip Baker Hall.

Based on screenwriter Will Reiser’s own experiences getting cancer in his 20’s, the film was originally set to star James McAvoy in the lead role until the actor had to bow out for personal reasons. Gordon-Levitt stepped in to take on the lead after McAvoy left. Jonathan Levin (The Wackness) directed the dramedy.

Based on an incredible real-life experience, LIVE WITH IT is a funny, touching and original story of friendship, love, and survival starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Angelica Huston. Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is an average guy in his mid-20s when he’s diagnosed with a rare form of terminal cancer. His family and friends – from girl-crazy best buddy Kyle (Seth Rogen), to insecure girlfriend Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard) and overbearing but loving mom (Angelica Huston) – attempt to help him through this process in the best way they know how…which is reflected in some of the most hilarious and bizarre ways ever.

The story is based on Will Reiser’s true life about his struggle to beat cancer, centering on a 25-year-old who finds out he has the disease. Seth Rogen produces with his writing-producing partner Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express) and Ben Karlin (”The Daily Show With Jon Stewart“). It’s about two men dealing with “friendship, love, and survival – in no particular order.”

How actress Anna Kendrick survived the Twilight zone

You might think that starring in the Twilight movies and notching up an Oscar nomination opposite George Clooney would go to a girl’s head… Not so, discovers Lina Das, for actress Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick slips without fanfare into the lobby of the West Hollywood hotel where we are scheduled to meet: some achievement given that she’s part of the teen-idolised Twilight cast, whose every move is usually accompanied by ear-splitting shrieks from adolescent fans. But Anna insists: ‘I’m one of the few who gets to leave home and not be followed around. Actually, when I do get children coming up to me, it makes me slightly nervous because I feel like I have to be on my best behaviour. I have a habit of cursing, so I have to keep it reined in. It feels like I’m visiting my grandmother!’

The Twilight films, based on the bestselling novels of Stephenie Meyer, centre on the love story between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and the vampiric Edward Cullen (played by our own Robert Pattinson), who vies for her affections with Bella’s childhood friend – and werewolf – Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Anna, as Bella’s best friend Jessica Stanley, has one of the more fun parts in the film, unleashing all manner of teenage cattiness as she struggles with her envy of Bella’s popularity.

In truth, relations between Anna and Kristen are much warmer. ‘When I met Kristen, I knew her from some of her other films,’ says Anna, ‘and it’s so strange because she turned into my friend, and then just as quickly turned into one of the biggest stars on the planet. I’m on the outside and I really don’t know what to make of it even now. I can’t imagine what she and Rob are going through.’ Particularly as Kristen and Rob have themselves been dating since last year.
