Marc Pease, a former high school musical star who is still living in the past, eight years after graduating. The film takes place over the course of one day, as Pease’s former teacher/mentor Mr. Gribble oversees opening night, and Pease finally realizes there’s more to life than high school musicals.
A high school senior who becomes romantically entangled with both Marc Pease and Mr. Griblle.
"The very first thing that I shot was doing vocal warm-ups with Ben's character. He's my music teacher and I thought I was going to throw up all day. We had to do a-capella vocal warm-ups, just scales on whatever syllable he felt like saying. He just kept going and improving. It was like poobah, and peebo and moopie. Whatever he'd say, I'd have to sing that. Everybody thought it was so funny but I'm like 'I'm going to kill you'."
On who is the better kisser, Jason or Ben: "That's awful! One has a serious girlfriend and one has a wife! I can't."
